2. @john.ang.771 Gracing us with his extensive knowledge on textiles, — on kebaya, batik motifs and social occurences during the time period that seeped into becoming popular culture/motives
3. A chat with Artist Niranjan who came back from Canada with his lovely wife Jane for a sharing session at ilhamgallery
4. @anissa_raz Reminding us the badest of us are the ones who wake up for sahur
5. Meniscus tear girl 🤭 couldn’t tell my doctor it was from walking — not an injury I got from ice hockey
6. Global Girls Game 2025 = Free hockey game = Unknowingly playing with a meniscus tear (Gotta do it for the girls)
7. Birthday hangout became a book club hangout @tahalong @freezforshort @serimizani

“Poesy”, a reversal in cloth styling and the many layers of a woman’s prayer dress. The piece plays with the meaning and materiality in fabric and act of wearing. The four fabric layers— likened to pages of a book— each carry a different fragment of the same image, revealing and concealing in harmony, presenting a balance between concealment and exposure, performing the nature of ambiguity in poetry. The gentle shifts in fabric and form explore the intimacy and fluidity of devotion.
The show runs from 8 March onwards.

If you’ve known me since my days of blogging when I was 15, you’d know I always have been one that conventions would fail to grasp and in interviews or articles —- they’re extracted and written as excitingly so. Of open vulnerabilities and defiance packaged in one.
from my habit of journaling, I wrote a piece lightly stitching together various parts of how art, fashion and trauma converge to seep synonymously into the fabric of my life after seeing a clinician to check whether I was considered autistic following the advise of people I cared for,
but found something entirely different that unravelled an entire’s practice, so for my birthday I made it into art 🐑🧎🏻♀️🤍

couldn’t be bothered to post on my feed lately, have been humbled by the art both the contemporary and historical in the city of Milan and Florence and all in good company, left me staring at my ceiling in bed after marveling the floors and ceilings - very much alive, breathing and dressed in painted centuries
opened a flood gate of ideas im tenacious to test out once im back 🐑🧎🏻♀️

Last November, Enda, a good friend of mine who is an art researcher - curator - artist himself was in town, hosted him around during his short visit to talk about pending projects amongst other things, mapping art as an ecosystem.
Enda is part of the collective, Ruang Rupa and runs a separate art collective at Pontianak, his hometown.
Through the years we often work and bounce off ideas ever since my short residency period at Gudskul Jakarta in 2019 in which we got acquainted and from work have caught on meeting during joint art escapades in several countries, Germany - Indonesia - Malaysia

My art practice is an endless journey of abstraction and discovery, where each moments evolves until we understand our deeper connections. Pictures do the same, a moment in time that completes only when you look back to see what connects us all.

I have a life long love for the wind, amongst the other elements its possibly my favorite, growing up near the beach, lake and a swamp, days are often quiet and windy, hardly anyone would be around, so much so my playtime involved me roaming around making ‘crafty’ projects from rocks, twigs or flowers, and fishing. On extra windy days i’d stand in the middle of the empty roads and enjoyed the waves of wind, even my wearing of long pinless shawls were a reflection of admiring how they’d flow with it, down to the dandelion flower being a favorite since it floats nomadically and is carried by the wind.
